I cannot stress this enough. If you believe the crystals will work then they will work. An open mind and sense of peace is key in order to truly feel and manifest their power. To the people that do not believe that is fine but allow others, who do believe, have the ability to feel safe and heard when sharing their experience with crystals and mental health.
I am a 52-year-old woman and I have been using crystals sine my early 20’s!! I have used all different kinds depending on what was happening in my life at the time and I feel they always brought about a sense of peace and comfort! I strongly believe in their power and would urge anyone to give them a chance! You might be surprised!!!!!!
I have worn clear and rose quartz throughout the years as a necklace to promote healing and well-being and to draw in positive vibes to my being! I have raw rose quartz on my mantle in my living room to promote love and harmony in my home. I wear citrine, turquoise and amethyst rings daily for their individual qualities of enthusiasm, good luck and spiritual comfort. I also keep raw amethyst for its beauty and purification!

I started using crystals in my life about 2-3 years ago. My well-being has changed so much since I started using crystals. I feel like my positivity is always higher when I either have a crystal on me or I rubbed one right when I wake up. I have crystals next to my bed, in my bags, I have a hanging crystal in my car for good luck. I don’t believe in any gods, but I do believe in magical beings. For example, fairies, mermaids, and obviously crystals. Crystals hold such a power that us humans can use that power for good. We can absorb their good juju and use it to improve how we choose to live. We can choose to be more positive in the world.

My journey with the concept of using crystals to help my mental health started out of necessity to fix my life. I taught in a specialized program within my high school and had hit rock bottom with depression. It was beginning to affect my relationships with my family and friends. I needed to make a change. I started with a piece of Blue Lace Agate to help calm me and transform me into a new position at school. I was also moving classrooms. I moved into a classroom that the three previous teachers had all left education due to mental health issues. I went to the Crystal shop in Flagstaff on a quiet day and asked one of the women working for help. I explained my classroom situation, she had me get four pieces of black tourmaline to put in the corners of my room to ward off negativity. I took some sage to burn around my door and window. And then I took a collection of creativity crystals and put them in the center of the room before I set my room up to bring positive energy. I had the most successful semester of school. I do believe the stones brought positive energy and helped with my nerves and my new outlook on education and my teaching.
Then the global pandemic hit and I had to go through some personal medical issues. I developed a detached retina, so I carried a piece of Herkimer Diamond, that my husband got for me before my first of 4 eye surgeries. I carry it with me every day. It gives me a sense of peace. I feel that all of the stones I carry give me a sense of peace and balance. It was such a rough couple of years that holding my crystals in their bag or in my hand makes me calmer and stronger somehow. The biggest example is the positive energy in my classroom. I have a sense of calm and purpose in myself and my students that I had not felt in many years. I do feel the crystals helped.
As an educator, I love to learn new things, and the journey through crystals and learning what helps me will continue.

I started using crystals 10 years ago when I started my yoga practice! Yoga was my first experience of what crystals are and how they work! The first crystal I was introduced to was pink quartz which is the love stone and promotes self-esteem! I carry this stone with me! Amethyst was my second stone which helps with stress and promotes relaxation which helps me a lot with my anxiety this is another stone I carry with me! Black Tourmaline is kept by my bed to help eliminate bad energy! Citrine is another one I put by my bed and take to yoga classes because it aids in removing toxins from the body! I have a lot of stomach issues I place Aquamarine on my stomach and do breathing techniques. This has helped tremendously with my digestion! I also have a salt lamp that I use in the winter. It helps give me energy on days where there is less sunlight.

One thing I always did as a teacher that worked with struggling readers is... I had a beautiful purple Amethyst crystal that I put in the center of my round table... most of the kids I worked with were very anxious. When they sat down at the table I would have them place their hand on it and take several deep breaths before we began. I told them this stone will help calm their mind and get them ready for learning the words.  All my students loved this!    I have also made "Karma targets" using various stones when meditating about wishes for my own family members such as getting the job they want, delivering a healthy baby, etc.

I started practicing crystals about 4 years ago (16) when my friend introduced me to them, but I really got into practicing crystals a little over a year ago. My well-being definitely improves when I'm using crystals because it helps me set a purpose for what I want or need and reminds me to put out that energy. The crystals I use most are amethyst (protection), bloodstone (courage and confidence), white howlite (calmness), and rose quartz (love and self-love). I like practicing with crystals because it is a tangible weight that reminds me to be present and manifest good energy and what I need. I usually wear them when I need a little boost and feeling their weight is reassuring and grounding.

I started using crystals for a young age but really got into it as a witch when I was about 15-16. Personally crystals keep me grounded and provide a physical tool of manifestation for my wishes. I love to use labradorite and my favorite crystal I have that works wonders and I use every day is called a shamanic dream quartz.

I started using crystals when I was maybe 14-15. Crystals connect me to the earth, help me ground myself and heal my soul. I have so many crystals. My favorite to use is Celestite and labradorite but crystals like tourmaline and satin spar are always favorites. It’s all about giving things power, if you believe crystals will work then they will for you.

I teach yoga. I use crystals in my hot power yoga flow class. Specifically black onyx. Properties of this crystal are grounding and balancing. I was at a yoga studio in a different state and at the end of the practice, the teacher placed this stone on our forehead. I have been using it ever since. It's been at least 7 years. I give the option for the yogis in class to place their hand on their heart if they do not wish to have the stone. Although this was not the first time I was introduced to crystals, it did give me a way to share with the yogis who showed up to experience the calming effects of the stone.
My first introduction to crystals was through a student that would come to my class and she would bring different crystals in with her. I spoke with her about what they were and what she did with them. I was so intrigued by the crystals. She was very informative, as she had been using them for a long time. This was the beginning of my love of crystals.  I started to read everything I could find on crystals. I am also able to feel the energy of the crystals.
I use crystals in my life for many different things, more specifically for my Chakras. The seven energy centers in the body. Each Chakra is related to a color. Like a rainbow, the colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. If I feel like I am having difficulty with communication, I will use a blue crystal (it relates to the throat chakra) and place it at the base of my throat.
I have taught Chakra Workshops using crystals related to under/over active chakras.
Most recently I purchased a Crystal Bowl that I play at the end of class which is a form of sound healing.
Crystals will always be part of my life. I feel they enhance my well-being.
